I built a desktop flight-radar ornament!
Using an ESP32-S3 5" touch panel and ESPHome, it shows live aircraft over your location on an ATC-style radar scope 
— complete with a rotating sweep and a glow as the beam passes each plane.
It does more than you'd expect:
Tap any aircraft for its origin/destination, altitude, speed & heading
Optional weather-radar (rain echo) overlay
Optional map outline overlay
Home Assistant integration — even works as an alarm clock that rings through your Wi-Fi speaker, with per-weekday scheduling
Everything configurable right on the touchscreen — no coding needed

Just grab an off-the-shelf dev board, flash it, and you're good to go
